Southern Forest World

Southern Forest World is a self-guided museum dedicated to educating the public about the importance of the Forest Industry in the South. Indoor exhibits include a "Talking" Tree, a replica of a Loblolly Pine you can climb in, and a mummified dog in a tree. Outdoor exhibits consist of a Fire Tower, a steam-operated logging engine, and Wagon Wheels from logging carts once pulled by mules. There is also a clean, quiet picnic area on the premises. Explore many different avenues while touring the park. Over 20 structures are included in the outline of the homestead. Two museums and more than 55 animal species are on exhibit here.
