Satilla River

The Satilla River has been noted by many as being the last of Georgia's wild and scenic rivers. Wildlife of all species abound along its banks, with good fishing year-round for Large Mouth Bass, Crappie, Red Bellies and Bream.
Camping and Picnicking opportunities are found all along the river in the way of pristine white sandbars ranging in size from small and narrow to high and wide. Even in high water, there are enough sandbars with adequate elevations to stay dry for the night. Some of the larger sandbars are noted on the map, but hundreds still exist on the river's banks.
